What is it all about?

I am a creative technologist who uses technology to create art. I write code and build tools out of technology to facilitate my art practice. Sometimes that's writing a program to generate random layouts for a painting, or sometimes the computer creates the work itself through careful applications of code and other tools. And yes, sometimes it's AI even if that's controversial. Every tool as a place.

There is always an exploration that goes along with this.

I'm also very connected to the natural world. I love being in nature, and the wonders that creation has give us as gifts, and we don't always appreciate those gifts.

I consider myself a Druid because I hold a reverence for the natural world, but I'm also a technologist and so there is a wonder to the built world also.

This blog will be a place for me to meditate on holding space for both. I'll chronicle my journey and learning, and share insight into my artistic practice as I work through that discovery and exploration process.

This serves as both a journal of sorts and a learning tool.
